Hey my name is Chris, this is my first blog obviously, i'm using this to build a little portfolio for school hopefully get some followers or ppl who dig what i'm sayin and maybe i'll dig what your sayin idk. But theres been this thing on my mind lately, i've been doing a lot of research for my solo's in the songs that i'm composing now. So I've been looking at these classic rock video's or song streams even some live shows and in the comment boxes under the video i always see with like 100 thumbs up on the comment "This is real music not like that Justin Beiber crap" or "Fuck Lady Ga Ga, music these days sucks!". Some agree and some may disagree with the liking of modern day pop music speaking 2009-2011 i suppose. I watched an interview of Slash the guitarist from Guns N' Roses, and Velvet Revolver he said that he really enjoys Lady Ga Ga. Slash came from the perspective that she more "entertains" him rather than truly enjoying her music as he does the old blues guys. In my opinion I'm kind of with Slash, Justin Beiber has over 90 million views on Youtube, thats sheer brilliance, i want that fame! He's obviously good at what he does and thats being an entertainer, some i just don't get i really don't like the sound of Rhianna's voice, but thats just my opinion obviously the general population doesn't agree with me but there are some artists that still produce good music they just don't earn the big bucks such as Ke$ha. Even in rap, my favorite song out right now is Black and Yellow by Wiz Khalifa and i mean even that the lyrics the flow is complete trash, the beat is type rockin though but still, it's not what i grew up on, Jadakiss, Styles P, NaS, Method Man, true MC's in my book. I try hard not to hate on any music cause it's all opinions it just bothers me when someone just wants to totally dislike beiber for a cause that they think all music sucks now, which it really doesn't. Dubstep and Rave music is starting to become more popular, even House music with Jersey Shore, so while the norm is becoming a little whack there are other genre's that are booming! People are making modern day music Black and White, and music isn't black and white, theres always that grey area. Well to anyone who reads hope you can give me some feedback, on my writing, the topic, what you be bloggin! or w/e anything.... oh and at the end of every post if anyone ever even see's my site.. ima just leave 5 tracks that i've been bumpin..
